We want to help you make your occasion special and one-of-a-kind.  Whether you are looking for a wedding to be performed or a renewal of vows, we can help you with a customized service tailored to your individual needs. We know that there are a lot of choices out there and it can be overwhelming to decide. We give you ideas to choose from but ultimately give you the the freedom to choose how your ceremony should be performed. Of course, we are always happy to discuss the options and help you to decide just where and how to have your once in a lifetime wedding!

    Wedding ceremonies have come to encompass so many things. From the traditional large wedding ceremony with family and friends, to the small gathering of close family and friends. Weddings can be simple elopements and may be largely religious or largely secular with little mention of the Divine.

    We are a Christian ministry, and we believe that love and marriage belongs to everyone and is available to the same. We offer services tailored to the specific desires of the couple. Perhaps you are looking for a knot-tying ceremony. Maybe you are a couple who had a small Justice of the Peace ceremony in the past but now want to reaffirm your vows before God and family. Perhaps you wish to have a combination ceremony in which you combine wedding vows and a baptism. We will help you to design the service that is right for you. 

    We do not focus on the venue or the wedding planning. We can help with suggestions if that is your wish. But our primary focus is making sure that you are happy with the officiate and the service provided. 

COST OF THE SERVICES

   There is NO COST for this program for members of the church.** There is a $75 fee for the premarital enrichment assessment* and up to two meetings (this is for the enrichment classes, not wedding planning).

For the actual wedding planning and service, we charge a flat $125.00 fee** that includes a consultation, the ceremony officiation, wedding certificate and wedding license submission. 

ABOUT THE PASTOR 

   Brian Wattenbarger has been a certified professional mediator since 2011, employing his skills at his airline as a member and instructor for their Professional Standards Committee. He is also a certified Critical Incident Stress Management facilitator, having been trained in 1997 by the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. He utilized his training to help his fellow Emergency Medical Services workers in Kansas City and later at his airline, developing and growing the CISM team there for both pilots and flight attendants.  

   Brian has been trained and certified by Connected Marriages as a Marriage Mentor and, coupled with his mediation skills, is fully capable and qualified to provide these services to those who need or desire them. He is also trained and certified by SYMBIS as a premarital counseling facilitator. Brian has his Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Maryland and takes seminary classes from both the Koinonia Institute and Christian Leadership International College.
